Originally from Texas, this stunning and captivating beauty
grabbed the attention of the Entertainment World by working as the
assistant to a talent agent at Showbiz Entertainment in Hollywood,
California. When a role for a HBO special called the "Mike Tyson Story"
came across her desk, she submitted herself for the feature role as a
joke and surprisingly booked what was to be her very first audition.
Thus beginning her passion for acting, where she has since been featured
in such television sitcoms as Save By The Bell, The Parkers, and a
Showtime sitcom called Rude Awakening as well as motion picture feature
films 3 Strikes and Foolish.
In between filming various television and film projects she was invited
by an acquaintance to go to the taping of the weekly series Soul Train
while attending the taping she was asked to be one of Soul Train's
feature dancers. When the then Unknown Director Eric White spotted her
and approached her about auditioning to be one of the main dancers in a
music video for Men at Large which was Directed by Hype Williams,
needless to say she booked the job and her music video career took off
and she began starring in videos for artist such as the Dogg Pound,
Sisco, R Kelly and the list goes on.
Subsequently, she caught the eye of photographer Mark Thompson whom shot
her for the March 1998 cover of Black Men's Magazine where she would
again reappear on the cover of their March 2000 edition. Noticing how
comfortable and natural she was in front of the camera Mark also shot
her for the cover of the 2000 Unforgettable Calendar and 2000 Avonte
full length Calendar Poster. Being one of his most unforgettable
beauties Mark placed her on the cover of the calendar again in 2002.
But Avonte knew that there was much more depth to her personality and
she was more than just a pretty face so she went back to school and
within a year she graduated and received her associates degree with
honors. But not wanting to alienate her huge fan base she created
AvonteOnline.com to continue her love-affair with them.
Avonte’ is not just another beautiful model but a very smart
businesswoman and she wants to empower other women with “Self-Love” and
